Common
questions.
How our two services differ, how they're regulated, and how to get in touch.
Is your debt advice service available to the public?
No. Specialist debt advice is a business-to-business service, commissioned by organisations for the people they support. We can't accept referrals from individuals. Free, confidential debt advice is available to the public from MoneyHelper (the Money and Pensions Service), Citizens Advice, StepChange and PayPlan.
Are your services regulated by the FCA?
Debt advice from Money Saviour C.I.C. is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 618806). Personal finance coaching and financial wellbeing from Money Saviour Financial Solutions Ltd are guidance and education. They aren't regulated by the FCA, aren't regulated financial advice and don't include debt advice.
How do organisations commission your debt advice service?
We work under contract on a fixed-fee basis, through fixed-term or flexible contracts, per case or in referral blocks. Get in touch and we'll discuss what would suit the people you support.
What's the difference between coaching and debt advice?
Debt advice helps people deal with debts and benefits, and is only available through organisations that commission it. Coaching is a paid service for anyone who wants help to organise, plan and build confidence with their money. It doesn't include debt advice.
Do you work across the UK?
Yes. Sessions take place online via Teams, by phone or in person, so we can work with organisations and individuals anywhere in the UK.
I'm an existing client. How do I contact you?
Please email your caseworker directly. This website isn't for client queries.
What's the difference between information, guidance and advice?
Information and guidance help you understand your options, improve your financial confidence and make better decisions.
Regulated advice involves a personal recommendation about a specific financial product or solution.
Personal finance coaching provides information and guidance only. Money Saviour C.I.C. provides regulated debt advice under FCA rules.
What happens if I need regulated product advice?
If it becomes clear during coaching that you need regulated advice, for example about arranging pensions or investments, we'll explain this clearly and signpost you to appropriate regulated advice. Any referral is transparent, and we don't receive referral fees.
What happens if coaching shows I have problem debts?
Everyone who books personal finance coaching completes a short pre-appointment questionnaire before their first session. If it shows a debt problem, or that other support would suit you better, we'll signpost you straight away to a free, regulated debt advice service.
Are your services insured and data protected?
Yes. Both companies hold professional indemnity insurance and are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). See our privacy notice.
How do I complain?
Please see our complaints procedure, which explains how to complain about either company.
